With winter well on its way this beautifully frosted inspiration keeps us thinking warn and cozy thoughts!
This modern take on Jane Austen’s inspiring novel, Sense and Sensibility comes to life in regal fashion.
Dreaming of a romantic wedding in the woods? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Lola Event and Productions and a team of talented creatives took advantage of the forest setting at The Morton Arboretum to bring this dreamy blue watercolor wedding inspiration to life.
From the dreamy table design in blue and gold, to the oversized chandeliers hanging from above, this shoot is full of pin-worthy ideas you can incorporate into your very own woodsy wedding. Read on below, and find more images in the full gallery from Artistrie Co.
into the forest
From Lola Event Productions: Being in Chicago, it’s not too often this team has the opportunity to work in a magical setting surrounded by water and lush vegetation. The Arboretum was so inspiring to us, we knew we had to take the opportunity to set a breathtaking tablescape in the middle of the amazing forestry it provides.
Soft, whimsical and airy
Soft, whimsical, and airy were the adjectives we used when describing our inspiration and vibe for the shoot. We loved using a wide variety’s of blues and greens to play in to the colors of Meadow Lake and the surrounding trees. The whimsical and awe inspiring chandeliers floating from above played into the magical feeling we wanted brides to feel when looking at our photos.
Mix and match table
Colors and style were all tied together with the soft tones of the mallard velvet linen complimented with gold flatware and glassware, royal blue toned dishware, and a perfectly unique gold veined charger. We loved the look of a mix and matched table setting to go with our loose and understated design scheme.
There’s nothing like cozy winter nuptials in a snow-covered locale, but if you’re planning a winter wedding, there are a few extra things you may want to add to your guest list so that you can keep your guests happy (and warm) during your celebration. Whether you are hosting your wedding in a place known for its freezing temperatures or a place with more mild weather, here are five things your guests will want to have at your winter wedding.
1. An Outdoor Fire Pit
If your venue allows it, having an outdoor fire pit is a great late-night pow-wow spot for your guests. They can head there with their post-reception coffee or even a final drink from the open bar while the wedding reception is winding down.
2. A Cozy Lounge
Having an outdoor wedding in the winter may be something you’ve always dreamed of, and if so, it’s important to also have an indoor alternative. Even if you have a heated, tented reception, having an indoor spot attached to it that people can go into to get warm if it’s freezing or snowing out is key.
3. Hot Beverages
In addition to an open bar, it may be a good idea to have a coffee and hot chocolate bar open all night. That way guests can grab a warm beverage when they are feeling a bit too cold.
4. DIY S’Mores
If you’re getting married in the winter and are looking for a fun dessert to serve, a DIY S’more Bar is always a hit. This is a great addition to a fire pit (see above!).
5. Shawls or Blankets
An extra-added layer of comfort throughout the night is essential when keeping warm and cozy! Some guests may be colder than others, so having a pile of extra shawls and blankets for them to grab is a nice touch.
If you are scanning the internet and searching all things purple on Pinterest and Google due to Pantone’s recent Color of the Year announcement, look no further than this right here. This loveliness with its color punch is jam-packed with Ultra Violet wedding ideas. A visual guide on just how to incorporate 2018’s hottest color, thanks to Karma Goddess Event Planning and Design and J Morgan Flowers. With Adam Opris Photographer behind his lens and the Perez Art Museum Miami as the backdrop it doesn’t get much better. Just kidding! They also have a show stopping Enaura Bridal gown for us to swoon over and a Geode cake delivering one sugary temptation! When first announced, we couldn’t wait to feature just how this color is going be incorporated into fairytale visions.
Ultra Violet Wedding Ideas
The first styled shoot we showcased illustrated just how the color can be used as an accent color, seamlessly complimenting shades like soft blues and pinks. But, the hue is bound to take center stage all on its own which is exemplified through today’s editorial feature. While we love a blush and gold or neutral tone wedding with their classic and sophisticated vibes, give us vibrant wedding with a healthy dose of color and color us happy. Pantone’s 2018 Color of the Year is definitely going to have brides color crushing as they plan every detail of their dream day. “A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future,” Pantone announced. Since planning your wedding is taking a step toward a new chapter, how perfect is that sentiment? And for the floral enthusiast – yes, we are over here raising our hand – think anemones, orchids, roses, hydrangeas, irises, calla lilies, peonies, dahlias and more in Ultra Violet and its sister shades. You may just want to bookmark these Ultra Violet wedding ideas, or better yet… get pinning into a new board that will probably fill on its own with majestic wonder.

With temperatures in Hawaii rarely dropping below 70, and not many pine trees in sight, this team of creatives brought a little Christmas spirit to life with this red and green Hawaiian winter wedding inspiration.
A tree-lined path in a local park created the perfect setting for their warm winter style. Choosing a color palette of vibrant reds and greens, they quickly achieved the Christmas vibe they were looking for.

The romance of an al fresco evening under the stars at Brookview Ranch nestled in the Malibu mountains sounds like the perfect setting for a summer celebration. CMG Weddings & Events created this romantic Southern California wedding design, and we love how versatile the space is, featuring mountain views, a canopy of trees, and of course, the beautiful barn and ranch backdrops.
This team pulled off a romantic look with vintage touches and calligraphy details. Using a color palette of soft lavender and blush, and beautiful organic floral designs created by La Rosa Que Crecio Floral, they created a dreamy, relaxed feel with their overall design. Jess Lauren Photo brought the look to life with bright and airy images, and we can’t wait for you to see this beautiful inspiration!
A favorite detail of ours has to be the gorgeous cake with calligraphy detailing and pink sugar flowers cascading down the side. What a beautiful way to tie in some of the romantic details from the day.
